The Central Highlands School Sport district stretches from Duringa in the east to Anakie in the west, North to Glenden and south to Rolleston. It covers a large area and overcoming distance is our largest challenge. We are made up of 5 sub-districts which are Denham, Peak Downs, Emerald, Springsure, and Duringa. We are situated in the middle of the largest coal producing area in Australia. Our athletes come from mining and farming backgrounds and strive in sports such as touch football, netball, cricket, rugby league, athletics, cross country and tennis. We have an estimated population of 25,000. Our committee organises both primary and secondary school sport and is always working hard to ensure athletes in the Central Highlands are provided with sporting pathways to achieve excellence.
