Each year 65 teams represent Capricornia school sport in 22 different sporting disciplines. Students in these teams travel to all corners of the state to compete against the best athletes in their chosen sport. Through these sports Capricornia has nurtured numerous state and national representatives, some of which have gone on to become world renowned professional sports men and women.
Sport in Capricornia is an integral part of our cultural fabric. Numerous schools across the region regularly participate in organised interschool sport competitions and sport-specific Gala Days. This effectively ensures each sport continues to succeed and develop, ensuring that Capricornia remains competitive at a state level.
